Match Report
Loretto School Girls-U10A vs  Clifton Hall School
On: Wednesday, 13 Oct 2021
Venue: Away

The U10 girls were so excited and nervous about their first away match ever, but they put on a brilliant performance and won the match convincingly.

The playing surface at Clifton Hall was a deep-pile Astro which made passing the ball very challenging. Their usual hard hits and passes went nowhere far on this surface! But the girls soon learnt to adapt their game plan to accommodate the different surface.

Loretto dominated throughout the match and spent a lot of time in the shooting D, but the seven Clifton Hall players gathered there and made it extremely difficult for the ball to reach the goal amongst all the feet!

Loretto led at half time, after Ellie scored two wonderful goals supported by her team-mates.

During the second half, the Loretto team were more-used to the surface and continued to play well together as a team, passing the ball to each other as they moved towards their goal.

Well done to Kara, Maisie and Ellie who were our goal-scorers in the match and also to Matilda, Lily, Isla and Abby who helped to make it a convincing victory for Loretto.
